Professional Photographers of Michigan Expo

We had a blast speaking in Michigan at the Professional Photographers of Michigan Expo. Everyone there was so nice and we both enjoyed hanging out despite the snow.

We each presented for a half a day. Of course my part was on business and marketing and Damon showcased his strategy for shooting weddings. The next morning Nikon sponsored a live shoot so the students were able to put into practice what they had learned. It was a neat group and everyone came away with some killer portfolio shots.

One of the major perks of speaking in Michigan is that we got to spend a few days with my family. I only get to see them a few times a year and with all of the kids it is always an adventure. In fact my cousin Jon just welcomed his fifth baby boy and Justin is expecting his first. Finally, we are adding a girl into the mix. She will be arriving in August. Congratulations guys!

On the way to my uncle’s house we couldn’t help but be mesmorized by the falling snow. Well, actually it was more like a blizzard, but it’s still pretty cool.

I do admit that it is beautiful, but I am really glad we live in sunny Florida.

Country Club of Orlando Wedding

The Country Club of Orlando was the perfect romantic setting for Melissa” Midge” and Josh’s wedding on Saturday. Melissa definitely has a classic and elegant style which was evident in her dress and veil selection. The boys of Flourish did an amazing job of weaving theme into the reception decoration with soft florals and a rich linen color that complimented the room perfectly.

Special thanks to Susie and Donna from Wonderful Weddings for planning this beautiful event.
