Each year the Professional Photographers of Michigan is host to the state’s largest photography event, the Michigan Photographic Expo. An impressive array of programming is joined with a Print Competition where PPM members can earn awards and even a cash prize of $500.00! There is also a Trade Show highlighting the top vendors in the photographic community and a Photographic Print display of some of the best photography in our state. Networking, education, new technology and lots of fun make up the Michigan Photographic Expo.
Speaking of new technology, Damon will be showcasing the Nikon D3s. In addition to the kick butt low light capabilities of the D3 and D3x this camera offers a sweet video option. He will also have some of his new favorite lenses with him for students to check out.

The holidays are great because we get to see friends that we don’t often see. The day after Christmas we were pleased to make Jackson Berstein’s acquaintance for the first time. His parents, Janine and Dan were one of our couples who have become dear friends. Unfortunately, they live up in Philly and we don’t have the opportunity to see them much. Jackson was the perfect baby, really. He actually made it look easy and with those giant bright blue eyes you can’t help but fall in love.
Laura and Bobby’s Sarasota wedding on January 2, 2010 was really cool. Actually it was a little chilly, but I think we were very lucky with the weather. Laura looked stunning and Bobby was handsome as well. Special thanks to everyone involved for a spectacular event. Nicole from NK productions was wonderful as always. Chris from Botanica did his floral magic. Holly from the Ringling helped us get those extra special photos. Michael’s on East provided a beautiful reception with wonderful food and the band rocked us out.
